stayed here 21st april for husbands birthday, was supposed to be staying at hotel next door but they were a complete sham, this hotel however was polar opposite, they couldnt help us enough in finding alternate accomodation as they only had rooms for one night, they hotel was fantastic and the staff couldnt do enough for you will be going back again and again thanks again museum square!! My partner and I stayed here for one night only but it was definately the best sleep of our trip. In the meseum quarter, its great for museums and a short walk to one of the central squares for cafes, bars and resturants. The eco theme is quite quirky but it is quite a basic hotel. However, our room and bathroom was spacious and spotless with a large plasma screen TV and VERY comfy beds. The value was quite good overall and we were pleased with our choice.

From the moment we entered the hotel, my friend and I were greeted by very friendly and helpful reception staff. The staff were willing to help us, recommending places to visit in Amsterdam and also gave us local info. i.e. where the supermarket and tram stops were. We stayed in room 402, a double room with a balcony. The room was bright, clean with a big wardrobe, an incredibly comfortable bed, air con., safety deposit box, a flat screen TV with a lot of sky channels and a big shower and bathroom. The room was cleaned daily and we were given fresh linens too. The hotel is a few tram stops away from the centre of Amsterdam city so this is very accessible on the number 5 tram. The local area; Vondelpark, Museum Square and the Entertainment quarter are excellent, very pretty and bustling on an evening. I would recommend the Hard Rock Cafe, although a little on the pricey side the service could not be faulted there. All in all , an excellent stay, If I could improve one thing about the hotel room I would suggest tea and coffee making facillities but I am a Brit and that is a very British thing to want in a room ! I will definitely be staying in this hotel again.

I recently stayed at the Conscious Hotel in Museum Square and found the place to be terrific. For the first five nights of my stay I had a beautiful room on the second floor overlooking the street. The noise didn't bother me a bit. I loved the comfy bed and being able to hop over to the Van Gogh Museum whenever I needed to. Breakfast was simple and good. But the staff were the strongest point. All lovely, charming, and friendly. Upon the return from my travels I was moved to another room on the fourth floor from which I could see the roofs of many nearby buildings. The next morning when I left everyone was so kind. And here's a real testimony. I left my laptop in the cab I took to the airport. Called the hotel frantically, and within minutes the cabdriver came back to the airport and returned my laptop to me. I recommend this place highly if you want a quiet place from which to see the city. It is walkable to the Dam and the markets...loved the environment.
