Great location, friendly service, clean rooms, comfy beds, all you need to explore Amsterdam by foot or bike!

We stayed at the Avenue Hotel in Amsterdam for 3 nights. It was within walking distance to Central Railway Station, Dam Square and most of the main sites of interest. Although the rooms were not very large, they were clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were very good - choice of continental or English. We had rooms at the back which, although they didn't have a main street view, were very quiet.

The hotel is located about 3-4 minutes walk straight from the central station, very easy to reach even with the suitcases. there is also a very close tram station, but that's really not needed if u can walk by yourself.
The hotel basically located 5 minutes walk from almost every attraction in Amsterdam (Dam square,red light district, central station) , and 5 minutes by tram to the farthest attractions like the Museumplein or Leidseplein.
The room itself was clean, bathroom was nice too. Not the biggest room (309), but then again, when you come to visit Amsterdam you need nothing more than a comfy bed and a good location :) we used our room for sleep and rest, if your'e looking for something extra, better look somewhere else. There wasn't much view as the room was facing the back of the hotel, but it was very quit and we had no problems sleeping like babies.
Staff was very nice and friendly, helped us to find our way around the trams. Also there is a good FREE WiFi connection!
Breakfast was very rich, full of good things, cold and hot as well, we liked it very much.
Bottom line - i would stay again next time i visit Amsterdam! :)
