My mother and I stayed here for 4 nights together and then my mother returned for a final night after her extended stay in Italy. We both agreed that it was a very good hotel for the price and more than met our expectations. The room was large and clean, the bathroom equally large and clean. Wi-fi connection in the rooms as well as computers downstairs in the lobby. The elevator was helpful as we walked a great deal each day and it felt like a treat to not walk up the stairs! Best part - it was an old open elevator with great ironwork. The rooms (my mother had a different room on her return) was quiet so that was helpful for sleep. The mattresses, in all of our accommodations, were more on the very firm side but that only made coming home to our own beds that much sweeter. Staff was very helpful once we got there although we had thought from their e-mail responses they would not be so helpful. They called cabs for us, made sure we were OK with our day's plans and asked after us. Babul walked me outside to show me where the grocery store was. There is a tiny pizza place just next door that was super good too. Breakfast was plentiful and the tea was good. Each room had an electric kettle as well as a mini fridge. Our friend, who joined us for the Rome portion of our trip, stayed in the Sonya Suites, just down the street and we were able to come and go out of each location without a problem.

arrived in hotel april 3 2011 . Check in was fast and we got our room before official check in time . hotel in located in a building which still has some private apartments together with the hotel rooms , but except for the suprise this didn't have any impact on the quality of our stay . Room was newly renovated , lots of marble , bathroom very spacious , very modern , more than enough towels , shampoos etc . Beds were large and comfortable , new windows provided excellent protection from outside noise , room also had quite and quality air conditioning .
we had the breakfast included in the price of our room . breakfast is more than adequate , lots of fresh pastry made in hotel kitchen , eggs , yogurts , and fresh fruits , also eggs in various ways , and good salamis , orange or apple juice. for me the the coffee was the best part , very rich and foamy and served by a waiter .
this is a small hotel and staff is very attentive ,helpful and friendly . anything we needed was provided to us on a timely basis and with the smile . internet is free , also hotel staff helped us with the booking of a shuttle bus to get to the airport , give us advice how to get to places in rome we wanted to see , assisted me with the renting of a vespa scooter .
this hotel is excellent value for your money , but the best part is the staff . for best deal use rick steve's rome travel book

Date of review: Apr 8, 2011 A small hotel/apartment that has great location. It is within walking distance from the Termini Station so it is very convenient if you arrive by train. The metro station is also very close (Republicca).

The room is quite small but clean and nice. Free Wifi in the room, free breakfast, helpful staff.

If you get tired of Western food, there is a good and cheap Chinese Restaurant nearby. Very recommended !
